QMA Red Class

Our Topic this term is Jungles.

We have busy transforming the Year 1 corridor into a Jungle environment with different animals hiding in the trees!

We have been looking at our local school environment and thinking about what we can do to look after it.  Later in the term we shall be growing different plants including sunflowers for a growing competition and different vegetables to taste.  We will be thinking about what different factors help plants to grow and what we can do to help them.

Red Class’s topic this term is ‘Myself’, they are learning about the importance of being healthy and keeping fit. they are also learning about where they live. Last week we went for a walk to the park and then came back and drew maps.

We are planting vegetable seeds next week in the classroom, when the frosts have gone we will plant them in our allotment.
